As part of a blogathon, I’m tasked with illustrating my life in film. Here, I go through my life’s history of cinema and pick my favorite movie from each year of my life.
Last year, when the Lord of the Rings Trilogy hit Blu-ray, it created an uproar amongst fans as it was only the theatrical version being released. Fans cried foul and whined about it not being the extended edition, citing that the studio was just trying to double (triple) dip. Guess what? If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. There’s a reason studios do this: cause these idiot fanboys will rush to buy four copies of the same movie every time something extra is released. Do I prefer the extended edition over the theatrical? Of course. But I’m not going to have a hissy fit and whine over it either. Fanboys rest assured, though, now you get what you’ve been waiting for.
