Well, as you may or may not know, the premiere screening for Kevin Smith’s Red State at Sundance Film Festival just ended not long ago. Following that, Kevin had a Q&A after the screening. With news pouring in all over Twitter, it has now been revealed that during this conference, Kevin Smith has announced his retirement as a director. He stated the Hit Somebody will be the last film he makes.

Teaser Trailer: Kevin Smith’s ‘Red State’

Next month, Kevin Smith will premiere his newest movie, a horror thriller about fundamentalism in the midwest. The movie, titled Red State, will premiere at Sundance Film Festival. He has now released a teaser trailer for the anticipated film.

The movie was written and directed by Kevin Smith. It will star Melissa Leo, Kevin Pollak and John Goodman.

Red State Gets Teaser Poster

On his blog, Kevin Smith has revealed that Red State has finally wrapped. Cast and crew were treated to a “fine-cut” screening of the film on Saturday night. Along with the news of the film’s wrap, Smith also gave us our first image for the movie when he revealed the teaser poster for Red State.
