‘Frankie Go Boom’ Coming to DVD and Blu-ray

Ron Perlman and Charlie Hunnam in Frankie Go Boom
Sons of Anarchy co-stars Ron Perlman and Charlie Hunnam team up once again, this time for a outlandish comedy, Frankie Go Boom. Universal Studios has announced the movie will release on DVD and Blu-ray this spring. The official DVD release date is May 14, 2013.

Frankie Go Boom is directed by Jordan Roberts. Besides Ron Perlman and Charlie Hunnam, the movie also stars Chris O’Dowd. Lizzy Caplan, Nora Dunn, Sam Anderson and Chris Noth round out the cast.

For decades, amateur filmmaker Bruce (Chris O’Dowd, This is 40, Bridesmaids) has tortured his awkward brother Frank (Charlie Hunnam, “Sons of Anarchy,” Children of Men) with a series of embarrassing videos posted on the Internet. Bruce finally goes too far when he uploads a video of a disastrous one-night stand involving the inebriated daughter of a loose-cannon ex-movie star. To try to undo the damage, the brothers enlist the help of Bruce’s transsexual computer-hacker buddy played by Ron Perlman (“Sons of Anarchy,” Hellboy) in one of the year’s most hysterically unexpected performances.

We don’t have a box art for it at this time, but we have been given the list of bonus features. Both the DVD and Blu-ray release will come with a behind-the-scenes feature, as well as deleted and alternate scenes. Finally, there is a short featurette surrounding the pig from the movie.
