Holy shit bricks and chill bumps, Batman! Wait…wrong superhero. All the same, the sentiment is real. The new trailer for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel is out and I’m even more excited now. The visual direction of Snyder, combined with the writing of Goyer and Christopher Nolan, mixed with some great acting….this is gonna be a good one. You can definitely tell Nolan has had an influence as well. Man of Steel is looking to have some real depth and appears very character-driven, while realistic and gritty. Meanwhile, Snyder appears to add his own little flair in the visual and action elements.

Check out the trailer below.

If that doesn’t get you excited (and get people off of Snyder’s back), then I don’t know what will. Personally, I’m looking forward to the movie even more now. The trailer looks damn near perfect, and looks like all elements of the movie are being handled wonderfully. Even right down to the music (of course, you don’t doubt Hans Zimmer anyways).

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question ‘Why am I here?’ Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.

Man of Steel is set to release in theaters on June 14, 2013. This is surely one not to miss.
