Michael Haneke’s Amour Wins Big at European Film Awards

Michael Haneke's AmourThe European Film Awards took place Saturday night in Malta. Micheal Haneke’s film Amour swept the awards, winning in the categories of European Film, Director, Actor, and Actress. Amour also won the 2012 Palme d’Or at Cannes.

Other notable films that earned recognition at the Awards were Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Shame.

Bernardo Bertolucci, director of Last Tango in Paris and The Dreamers, was honored with the European Film Academy Lifetime Achievement Award.
