Paranormal Activity 5 Gets a Release Date
By Josh Lyons on Nov 21, 2012 with Comments 1
After opening up to $30 million on just a $5 million budget, it was no surprise that Paramount would want to continue the Paranormal Activity after Paranormal Activity 4 proved it still had legs. And of course, only a few days after PA4‘s release, the studio announced we would get a Paranormal Activity 5. Now, we actually have a release date for that, though.
Previously, the movie was merely announced for a generic Halloween 2013 release. Now, a more specific date has been given as we’ve learned that Paranormal Activity 5 is slated to hit theaters on October 25th, 2013. This sets the movie opening the same day as The World’s End (the latest movie from Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost).
No word yet on who will direct, write or even star in Paranormal Activity 5. We don’t even have a clue where the story will head, at the moment. We do know, however, that Oren Peli and Jason Blum will return to produce.
We’ll keep you up to date as we learn more.

Up against Wright/Pegg? That’s bad news for PA5.
