‘Spider-Man’ Trilogy Gets a Re-Release

With The Amazing Spider-man set to release this summer, Sony is cashing in by re-releasing the original Tobey Maguire-starring trilogy on Blu-ray. Spider-man, Spider-man 2 and Spider-man 3 will all be released again on Blu-ray on June 12th, 2012.

Each movie will come with a new, collectible O-Ring packaging. You can check out images of the box art below. Each movie will also come with a code. This code allows the owner to gain access to a sneak peek of The Amazing Spider-Man online. This code is also redeemable for a free ticket to this summer’s The Amazing Spider-man.

As for special features, the Blu-rays don’t come with much more than already released features. The Spider-man Blu-ray, however, will include a Spider-man trivia quiz, as well as a “Cutting Room” feature, which will allow you to make your own videos using clips from the movie. Spider-man 2 will also include an extended version along with the theatrical version of the movie.
