Carrey and Daniels Returning for ‘Dumb and Dumber’ Sequel

Last week, it was announced that the wheels were in motion for a sequel to the hit comedy Anchorman. Now, we have more awesome news regarding a comedy sequel.

At a press junket for The Three Stooges, Peter Farrelly announced that he and his brother are making a Dumb and Dumber 2. Furthermore, the sequel will begin production later this year.

“We’re getting set to shoot ‘Dumb and Dumber 2′ in September,” Peter said. “It’s the first sequel we’ve ever done and we’ve got Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels back.”

So, per Peter Farrelly’s words, the sequel will even feature the return of Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. Sean Anders and John Morris, the writers behind Hot Tub Time Machine and Sex Drive, have already been at work on the script.
