Warner Bros Confirms Liam Neeson Is In ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

This comes as no real surprise since it was all but officially known, but it appears we have an official statement that Liam Neeson is returning to Christopher Nolan’s final Batman movie.
Back in January, Neeson himself admitted to being on the set of The Dark Knight Rises, thus indicating his return to the franchise. However, ever cynical as the internet is, there was still doubt whether Neeson would actually be in the movie. Claims that he could have just been visiting friends on-set were used as arguments that Neeson’s words didn’t prove anything. Well now we have much more concrete evidence.
In the production notes for Wrath of the Titans, Warner Bros have stated that Liam Neeson will, indeed, be seen in The Dark Knight Rises this summer.
Neeson next appears in Peter Berg’s actioner “Battleship,” and he also will be
seen in Christopher Nolan’s much-anticipated action thriller “The Dark Knight Rises.”
So, there you have it. Straight from the studio themselves. Ra’s Al Ghul is returning. Don’t get overly excited just yet, though. And for those fans out there shouting “Lazarus Pit”, get over that. Not only is that against Nolan’s style with this franchise, but Neeson has pretty much ruled that idea out. Going back to January, Neeson also mentioned he was only on the set for a couple of hours. This implies that his part is a very small one. My guess is that it’s merely for a flashback scene or two. Most likely to provide some type of setup/back story for Talia, his daughter.
