‘Underworld: Awakening’ Gets Blu-ray and DVD Release Date

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the DVD and Blu-ray release date for Underworld: Awakening. The fourth installment in the Underworld franchise will hit stores on May 8th, 2012.
The DVD copy will only feature a commentary from the filmmakers of the movie. The Blu-ray, however, will come packed with many more goodies. These goodies include 6 featurettes, a blooper reel and the “Heavy Prey” music video.

Underworld: Awakening is directed by Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein. The movie stars Kate Beckinsale, Michael Ealy and India Eisley.
When human forces discover the existence of the Vampire and Lycan clans, a war to eradicate both species commences. The vampire warrioress Selene leads the battle against humankind.
