Rumors On ‘Iron Man 3′ Plot

Rumors have come out which may give us a hint at what to expect in the Iron Man franchise. Iron Man 3 is set to begin filming this summer and will be the Marvel follow-up to this May’s The Avengers.

Latino Review, now, claims to have an insider scoop on what we can expect in Iron Man 3. They say the movie will have something of a direct tie-in with the upcoming Avengers movie. The basics: Nanobots!

The rumors suggest that Iron man 3 could follow (or borrow from) the ‘Iron Man: Extremis’ story arc. This would see Tony Stark inject himself with nanobots, which would essentially turn him into a cyborg. He becomes part of the suit, and the suit becomes merely an extension of him.

Of course, this is all rumor, so you should take it with a grain of salt. However, it would make for a nice transition from Avengers to Iron Man 3 as the Extremis nanotechnology was created in an effort to re-create the Super-Soldier Serum which made Captain America how he was. We even know that Cap even mentions this technology to Starks in the Avengers movie.
