First Teaser Trailer for ‘Despicable Me 2′ Reunites Us With Minions

Despicable Me was a great little movie back in 2010. While it was a heart-warming and captivating tale in the vain of The Grinch, the real awesomeness of it came from somewhere. That somewhere else: the Minions. Gru’s quirky little helpers created some comedy gold despite never uttering a single word (well, at least not any real words). They were definitely my favorite part of the movie.
Now the little yellow men are back, and they’re serenading us. This teaser trailer kind of came out of nowhere, but I’m glad for it. The Minions can be found in this teaser trailer singing “Barbara Ann” by The Regents. They don’t disappoint either, as they prove they can still bring the funny. Check it out below.
We have no idea really what the story is behind this movie as no plot details have been given.
Despicable Me 2 sees Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud returning to direct from a script by the writers of the first movie, Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul.
Steve Carell and Jason Segel return to reprise their roles. Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier and Elsie Kate Fisher are rumored to be returning as the three darling girls as well. Joining the cast this time around, though, is legendary Al Pacino. He will be playing the villain, though we know nothing about the role.
Despicable Me 2 is currently slated for a July 3rd, 2013 launch.
