‘Shame’ Comes to DVD and Blu-ray This April

Director Steve McQueen’s Shame has been getting a ton of buzz. Now, you’ll be able to own the movie this spring. 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment have announced that Shame will be hitting shelves on April 17th, 2012.

The movie stars Michael Fassbender as a sex addict in New York. Fassbender has been highly praised for his performance in this film. Many were shocked he didn’t even get a nod at this year’s Oscars. Carey Mulligan also stars as Fassbender’s sister.

The Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack will come with a handful of special features including behind-the-scenes looks at Michael Fassbender getting into character and how Steve McQueen works.

Brandon (Michael Fassbender) is a New Yorker who shuns intimacy with women but feeds his desires with a compulsive addiction to sex. When his wayward younger sister (Carey Mulligan) moves into his apartment and stirs up memories of their shared painful past, Brandon’s insular life spirals out of control.
