Here’s one for all of you manga fans. Most fans have been nothing but disappointed with each passing revelation about the Akira movie that Warner Bros is creating. Well, Warner Bros have now put that project on hold and are rethinking their approach. But, they’ve found something to fill that gap in the meantime.
Back in 2010, Warner Bros also acquired the rights to Bleach. Now, with Akira on the back-burner, the studio is looking to move forward with the Bleach adaptation.
Peter Segal is producing the project for Warner Bros. They’re currently working on getting a script. The studio has hired Dan Mazeau to pen the screenplay for the adaptation. Dan Mazeau also penned the script for Wrath of the Titans.
