‘Paranormal Activity’ Creator’s New TV Show Premiers Tonight

Oren Peli brought us the great Paranormal Activity franchise. With this franchise, he brought a new level of popularity to the found-footage genre, along with plenty of scares. Now, after so much success, he’s set to bring his ideas to the small screen.

The River is Peli’s latest project and is a new horror series starting tonight. The premiere episode will air tonight on ABC.

The series focuses on a group of people who set out to investigate the disappearance of a TV host and explorer while he was in the Amazon. The group seeking to find out the truth are led by the explorer’s wife and son.
