The First Official Trailer for ‘The Hobbit’ Arrives Online

Warner Bros have released the first trailer for Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey which will be the director’s return to Middle Earth. This comes almost a full year before the release of the film which is Part 1 of 2.
The trailer looks absolutely awesome, that’s for sure. It looks to wonderfully meld with the look from Lord of the Rings as we follow Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) on a new adventure.
Furthermore, we also have the first official poster for the movie. You can find the poster and trailer after the jump.
Synopsis:
Bilbo Baggins, a Hobbit, journeys to the Lonely Mountain accompanied by a group of dwarves to reclaim a treasure taken from them by the dragon Smaug.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will release in theaters on December 14, 2012.
