This Week on Netflix: April 25-May 1

Update: Apparently Netflix went and changed up a large portion of the major releases for the week detailed here. Thus, not all releases here are accurate anymore. No clue why it was changed.

While the DVD and Blu-ray offerings are a bit slim this week, Netflix is managing to take care of us when it comes to the Instant Play. This week will include the first day of a new month, which means tons of new additions to the streaming services. Probably the biggest update to the catalog that I’ve seen in quite a while. Highlights include such movies as Pulp Fiction, Scream 1 and 2, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Trainspotting, Sin City, Gone Baby Gone, Chasing Amy and many many more. 1. Dan O. says:

Dang this is awesome! Netflix just keeps on getting and better with this stuff! Thanks!

  2. Eric says:

Some really good selections this week. Thanks for highlighting Gone Baby Gone; I have been meaning to check that out ever since watching (and enjoying) The Town.

    • JL says:

Yea Gone Baby Gone is a good one. Personally, I liked The Town more, but it also depends on your taste in movies as they’re a bit different where The Town is more of an action/crime thriller and Gone Baby Gone leans more towards a dramatic thriller. Both good movies, though.

  3. Jessica says:

Why isn’t scream available or gone baby gone or jay and silent bob??? Half of those aren’t available for me! How come??

    • JL says:

That’s a good question. They do update throughout the day (rather than all at once for the day), so I guess there’s a possibility of still being added. However, looking at the info from Netflix, it’s now appearing they’ve seriously changed it up a bit, with some of these no longer mentioned and then mentions of other new ones like Raging Bull and BASEketball and others. I have no idea why the sudden change up.
