It was announced today that screen legend Malcolm McDowell, along with Dean Cain, will be joining the cast of the indie film Mind’s Eye. The film is being produced and shot entirely in Colorado this May through June. Mind’s Eye is the first film under the new Colorado production company Black Wing Digital.
Mind’s Eye is a sci-fi psychological thriller that explores the collapse of space and time through the eyes of Mattie Carver, a young high school musician. Mind’s Eye will feature Malcolm McDowell as the unpredictable orchestra director. Dean Cain will portray the handsome but insecure science teacher who unravels the mysteries beneath a series of strange, inexplicable events.
The movie is based on a script by Mark Daniels. It is being directed by Colorado director Mark Grove. Meryem Ersoz is serving as producer on the project. Izzie Steele will be playing the lead role of Mattie Carver. Andrew Trainor will also star in the film, which is being partially shot in 3D.

It’s been a quite long time since I’ve heard Dean Cain involved in a movie project.
Indeed. Last thing I even remember seeing him in was Out of Time.
I was wondering what happened to Dean Cain. I do love sf a lot and plus McDowell is always crazily good, so this could be a promising film for a DVD watching.
Yea I like McDowell. And a good psychological thriller I always enjoy. This is sounding almost reminiscent of Donnie Darko or maybe it will lean more towards Butterfly Effect (I actually liked the first one). I’ll definitely look to see how this turns out.
